When I Think I’m Watching

When I Think I’m Watching presents recent and earlier visual practices by Yoko Yuki. Through paper drawings, cut-paper animation and sound collage, Yuki transforms small observations from everyday life into constantly shifting images and rhythms.
Across her works, snow, worms, trees, objects, humans and animals drift into one another, forming open worlds where memory, imagination, accident and transformation coexist. Beneath the playful imagery, Yuki’s animations quietly unfold questions about observation, relationships and the unstable boundaries between different forms of life.
As viewers move through the exhibition, seeing itself becomes something fluid — a process that shifts, recombines and unfolds over time.
